Passage through Zanskar

Few places are as isolated and inaccessible as the high valley of Zanskar, within the confines of Ladakh in the northernmost part of India. A voyage backward in time to the heart of a mediaeval and forgotten Tibet, in a mineral world carved for giants, where man almost seems out of place. A three week trek, glacial solitude, passes at giddy heights of up to 5,000 metres pave the way for this mythological valley dotted with dazzling villages and monasteries, where hospitality is not an empty word.
